Christian Week Intro

In 1987 Harold Jantz began the Christianweek newspaper that gave voice to the Christan faith and life in Canada.  Jantz was a seasoned journalist with a lengthy tenure at the MB Herald.  The paper began with 26 issues a year and 1,500 subscribers. Jantz hired Doug Koop as assistant editor later that year. In 1996 the paper ventured into its first online presence and Doug McLeaod took over from Jantz as publisher. The paper attempted a regional version for southern Manitoba called Christian Life Style, which quickly ended and then Bramwell Ryan took over the publisher role.  Christianweek continued publishing its paper edition until September 2015 when due to finances the paper was sold and its headquarters moved to Toronto and its publishing continued online.
